Making Preparations

During the course of the last 7 months, we have been in a period of preparation in anticipation of a new phase in ministry here @ New Hope.  Now the time is at hand.  With anticipation, excitement, and a little giddiness, I look forward to that new phase.  Rev. Jim Poit will begin working on his calling as the Sr. Pastor starting on Monday, a date that marks the beginning of that new phase.

This does mean change.  I, personally, have every confidence that change in this instance means fulfilling the calling Christ has for New Hope . However, knowing myself and human nature, change can also mean ambiguity.

So how can we be prepared?  Just like John the Baptist, we keep turning to God, expecting him to do great and mighty things in, through, and around as he has since day 1.  We also keep encouraging each other to Follow Christ together, fulfilling the call he has for us as a Church, but also individually.  Remember Christ’s promise, “To be with us to the very end of the age.” (Matt. 28:20)
