Did You Realize?

I just found out that we have 4 “GO” events happening in the month of August. I am thrilled by the passion of our small groups for taking up the challenge to serve in our community once a quarter. The Roley small group is serving Homebase Youth Services on August 6th, and the Browne small group is serving them as well on August 29th. The Jarvis Small Group is going to serve at St. Vincent DePaul on August 29th, and our current Commissioned Leader Group is going to deliver blankets to the Arizona Reservation Ministry. Going on Mission is becoming the norm at New Hope . I encourage you to look for opportunities to serve. You will be able to sign-up for some of these events and others like them in the near future. Also, be looking for information coming up on Faith in Action, and our Fall Mission Trip to Arizona Reservation Ministries.

GO Ministry Mission

“To demonstrate God’s love by connecting to and positively impacting our neighborhood.”

We don't just believe in Knowing Jesus and Growing in the Holy Spirit, but that Christ saved us for a purpose. "For you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which he prepared in advance for you to do." Ephesians 2:10.

So as disciples, we follow Christ outside of the church and into our neighborhood to do what He did when he was on earth. That is He healed, He freed the oppressed, He brought forgiveness and grace, and preached the good news of the God's reign on earth. The GO Ministry's goal is to bless our community in Christ's name.

Beyond our immediate community New Hope is also called to make an impact in the world at large. So every year we send people on cross-cultural mission trips, and we support three overseas missionaries. We believe that the more we reach beyond our own circles the more we live out the call of Christ's incarnational ministry.
