    • Keep the Celebration “GO”ing

    Way to be the Church, New Hope Community Church !  I thought of writing a “Celebrate Others” about our Faith in Action Sunday, but I thought it best to write about it in my G-Log.
    What an amazing time with about 150 people coming together to serve our community.  My celebration starts with our Planning Team who did an outstanding job— especially considering how little time they had.  Our Small Group Leaders and Small Groups got into the action by planning a variety of service projects so that everyone could participate.  Then, all of those stories of transformation were inspiring.  I saw young people serving alongside older people.  I heard of partnerships with Community Groups being formed.  People who don’t even go to our church were invited and served alongside us.  I heard the call to do this again.

    All in all, I could not have been more pleased with how God worked through New Hope on our Faith in Action Sunday.

    GO Ministry Mission

    “To demonstrate God’s love by connecting to and positively impacting our neighborhood.”

    We don't just believe in Knowing Jesus and Growing in the Holy Spirit, but that Christ saved us for a purpose. "For you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which he prepared in advance for you to do." Ephesians 2:10.

    So as disciples, we follow Christ outside of the church and into our neighborhood to do what He did when he was on earth. That is He healed, He freed the oppressed, He brought forgiveness and grace, and preached the good news of the God's reign on earth. The GO Ministry's goal is to bless our community in Christ's name.

    Beyond our immediate community New Hope is also called to make an impact in the world at large. So every year we send people on cross-cultural mission trips, and we support three overseas missionaries. We believe that the more we reach beyond our own circles the more we live out the call of Christ's incarnational ministry.
