We just finished Christmas and the New Year is already upon us. I pray you all had wonderful Christmas celebrations. Christmas is a time to center ourselves in Christ. We will continue to do so in the first part of 2009 as we focus on how to grow spiritually. This spiritual emphasis is a part of a process to grow healthier as a church. Our congregation helped our Church Health team identify the two key areas that will help us grow spiritually. The first is to reduce the fear of people in being open to one another spiritually, and the second is to learn how to grow spiritually. Here are some things to look forward to:
New Hope has developed a spiritual growth journal that will help you reflect daily on the sermons each week. We invite you all to pick one up starting January 11th.
- We have designed a preaching and worship plan to help us understand how to grow spiritually in 2009.
- We would like to invite everyone to find a small group to share and hear the amazing things God is doing in peoples lives.
- We will increase ways for people to actively participate in the worship, and we invite you all to participate with passion.
Remember, we are in this together, and the more we encourage each other to grow spiritually, the more of God’s power will be evident in our lives.
