Small Group Distributes Groceries to 300 Families in Need

On Saturday, May 22nd, five people from the Johnson small group went to the Phoenix rescue mission to serve families in need of food.  The group joined other volunteers from churches and organizations from around the city.  According to Philip and Natalie Nevin, they helped put together 500 bags of groceries and fruit and vegetables.  Around 300 families benefited from the event.  In addition to the grocery drive they also helped people shop for clothes and household items.

“It went very well!  It was a lot of work.  It was remarkable to see so many families in need and also to see so many volunteers come together to help out!  I know our group found it very rewarding!” – Natalie Nevin.
