Hooray for the last day of school!

Chris has been a blessing to the principal, faculty, and staff in handeling many tasks at Faith. Everyone will miss Mr. Git-er-dun!

It brought me great joy to present my art students with a framed and matted painting from their own portfolios. Except when I asked the business manager (my beloved J) if the school would reimburse me half. He said “No, why did you spend so much?” “WELL, hopefully it will inspire some of the talented art students and mostly because I am saying good-bye to students dear to my heart.”

Hooray for getting baby Joe’s passport!

God surpassed our prayer request to get his paperwork done by July. It was done a month faster than expected! This allows us to spend June 20-30 in CA; July 1-12 in MI; July 13- Aug 5 in WI; Aug 6-15 in MI before we start training in Missouri.

Hooray for completing 4 ½ years of serving in the Philippines!

Wow, we want to say thank you to our partners in ministry for providing our needs while we served.

“Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:3

Chris- passing the baton to a new facilities manager and business manager, and for sleep.
Heather- details of preparing to leave, good-byes to good friends, and for sleep
Sierra and Joseph- for a smooth 26 hour travel time on June 20. Is that possible in one 24 hour day?

GO Ministry Mission

“To demonstrate God’s love by connecting to and positively impacting our neighborhood.”

We don't just believe in Knowing Jesus and Growing in the Holy Spirit, but that Christ saved us for a purpose. "For you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which he prepared in advance for you to do." Ephesians 2:10.

So as disciples, we follow Christ outside of the church and into our neighborhood to do what He did when he was on earth. That is He healed, He freed the oppressed, He brought forgiveness and grace, and preached the good news of the God's reign on earth. The GO Ministry's goal is to bless our community in Christ's name.

Beyond our immediate community New Hope is also called to make an impact in the world at large. So every year we send people on cross-cultural mission trips, and we support three overseas missionaries. We believe that the more we reach beyond our own circles the more we live out the call of Christ's incarnational ministry.

Craig and Christa Hollander serve with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) in Indonesia. Both Craig and Christa have been interested in mission work since they were young. They met at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where Craig studied mission aviation and Christa studied Bible and theology. As a pilot and mechanic for MAF, Craig serves by "flying pastors, missionaries, doctors, the sick and injured, government officials, food, animals, Bibles, educational materials, building supplies, and anything or anyone you can imagine in direct support of MAF's reason for existence--to multiply the effectiveness of the church by using aviation and other strategic technologies that conquer barriers in reaching the world for Christ."

Craig and Christa have three children, Faith, Sean, and Mercy.
