    Jarvis Small Group “GO” Opportunity

    Here is a “GO” event opportunity for anyone who would like to participate.  The Jarvis Small Group would like to take a bunch of people to make food boxes for the “Feed My Starving Children” organization on Saturday, June 26th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  W e need at least 10 people to put on the event, and they must be 3rd grade age or older.

    This organization is amazing! Their goal is to package over 2 million meals between June and December to feed about 4,000 children for a year. We can be a part of that huge undertaking by serving for just 2 hours. RSVP if you would like to participate.  You can do this by logging onto your CCB account.

    To help believers get connected through worship, study of Scripture, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, and ministry in order to foster spiritual growth in Christ and the Church. Small Groups are the perfect place to connect with God and with others.

    The Bible says this about the early Christians: Every day they (Christians) continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people

    Why did the early church grow? Acts 2:46 tells us they met in small groups.

    GO Ministry Mission

    “To demonstrate God’s love by connecting to and positively impacting our neighborhood.”

    We don't just believe in Knowing Jesus and Growing in the Holy Spirit, but that Christ saved us for a purpose. "For you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which he prepared in advance for you to do." Ephesians 2:10.

    So as disciples, we follow Christ outside of the church and into our neighborhood to do what He did when he was on earth. That is He healed, He freed the oppressed, He brought forgiveness and grace, and preached the good news of the God's reign on earth. The GO Ministry's goal is to bless our community in Christ's name.

    Beyond our immediate community New Hope is also called to make an impact in the world at large. So every year we send people on cross-cultural mission trips, and we support three overseas missionaries. We believe that the more we reach beyond our own circles the more we live out the call of Christ's incarnational ministry.
