Going with God’s Love to a Local Care Home

On Friday, July 23rd New Hope is inviting everyone to participate with the Humphrey’s group in making goodies (baked goods) at 7 p.m. in New Hope’s Kitchen. Then on Saturday, July 24th @ 12:30 we are gathering at the church to deliver the goodies to a local care home. We will not only deliver the goodies, but spend some time visiting with the residents and sharing God’s love with them. Bring your own recipe’s, ingredients, and equipment, or you can just come and lend a helping hand.

“To demonstrate God’s love by connecting to and positively impacting our neighborhood.”

We don't just believe in Knowing Jesus and Growing in the Holy Spirit, but that Christ saved us for a purpose. "For you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which he prepared in advance for you to do." Ephesians 2:10.

So as disciples, we follow Christ outside of the church and into our neighborhood to do what He did when he was on earth. That is He healed, He freed the oppressed, He brought forgiveness and grace, and preached the good news of the God's reign on earth. The GO Ministry's goal is to bless our community in Christ's name.

Beyond our immediate community New Hope is also called to make an impact in the world at large. So every year we send people on cross-cultural mission trips, and we support three overseas missionaries. We believe that the more we reach beyond our own circles the more we live out the call of Christ's incarnational ministry.
