Faith In Action November 14th

Don’t just go to church…Be the church! New Hope is partnering with Desert Haven Community Church in Mesa for Faith in Action Sunday on November 14th. This is an exciting “GO” Ministry event where, together, we put our Faith in Action by serving the needs of others! On that Sunday, we will not hold our regular worship services; instead, we will meet at Desert Haven and to go out into the community to be the church of Jesus Christ by participating in projects that serve the community.

Some of the projects we will undertake include: yard clean-ups, park maintenance, nursing home visitation, free car wash, make fleece blankets, compile quilt squares, make dolls for Jamaica mission, snd give out hygiene packs to the homeless. Children can get involved, too, by making Christmas decorations!

Please consider how God is calling you to serve on November 14th. Sign-ups for the service projects will end this Sunday, or you can sign-up online by Tuesday, November 9th. Pray and listen to what God is putting on your heart.

GO Ministry Mission

“To demonstrate God’s love by connecting to and positively impacting our neighborhood.”

We don't just believe in Knowing Jesus and Growing in the Holy Spirit, but that Christ saved us for a purpose. "For you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which he prepared in advance for you to do." Ephesians 2:10.

So as disciples, we follow Christ outside of the church and into our neighborhood to do what He did when he was on earth. That is He healed, He freed the oppressed, He brought forgiveness and grace, and preached the good news of the God's reign on earth. The GO Ministry's goal is to bless our community in Christ's name.

Beyond our immediate community New Hope is also called to make an impact in the world at large. So every year we send people on cross-cultural mission trips, and we support three overseas missionaries. We believe that the more we reach beyond our own circles the more we live out the call of Christ's incarnational ministry.
