Helping to Raise “Room for Joy.”

On November 7th a group from New Hope Community Church was able to help Phoenix Volunteers at an event to raise money for the organization Room for Joy. Room for Joy helps redecorate a room, making it a dream room  for a child with a chronic or terminal illness. The fundraiser was being held in Scottsdale and amongst the various activities a fashion show was held, with children of various ages being the models. Volunteers from the church were able to help wCheith various booths and activities being held throughout the day as well as the actual setup for the show and activities and subsequent dismantling and clean-up. The event had a great attendence and although volunteers were from New Hope were spread out amongst the various activities it was a rewarding experience to help out. As you may also note from various photos it was not necessarily all serious stuff, as with many volunteer opportunities the time of fellowship with others also allows for good memories and relationships being made. We hope to partner more with Phoenix volunteers in the future in other opportunities for the congregation and friends of New Hope.
