All Stars for Jesus Sunday, Dec. 19th @ 6:00 p.m.

Sunday, December 19th is our annual trip to “The Springs of Mesa”! This is the Retirement Home we go to throughout the year to spend time with the residents. Every year, they are so excited to see the kids and ask for them specifically each holiday. We will be singing our Christmas songs with them, handing out a decorated pinecone, and playing a fun game of Bingo.

Instead of meeting at the church, we thought it would be easier for parents to drive your children directly to “The Springs of Mesa” located at 6220 E. Broadway Rd. (on Broadway between Power and Recker)

* Arrive at 6pm and meet in the lobby just to the right of the reception desk.

* Dress to show your holiday spirit, but not too warm as it gets hot in the building.

* Bring cookies or holiday treats to share with the residents (dozen cookies or other item).

* Be ready to sing and have a great time.

* Bring a friend to enjoy the activities.

Parents, you are welcome to stay and enjoy the fun as well. Once we are finished, you may leave directly from The Springs with your children.

Lisa and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the kids and parents for a great start to this year’s “All Stars”. We couldn’t have done it without all your volunteer time and willingness to share this experience with your children.

GO Ministry Mission

“To demonstrate God’s love by connecting to and positively impacting our neighborhood.”

We don't just believe in Knowing Jesus and Growing in the Holy Spirit, but that Christ saved us for a purpose. "For you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which he prepared in advance for you to do." Ephesians 2:10.

So as disciples, we follow Christ outside of the church and into our neighborhood to do what He did when he was on earth. That is He healed, He freed the oppressed, He brought forgiveness and grace, and preached the good news of the God's reign on earth. The GO Ministry's goal is to bless our community in Christ's name.

Beyond our immediate community New Hope is also called to make an impact in the world at large. So every year we send people on cross-cultural mission trips, and we support three overseas missionaries. We believe that the more we reach beyond our own circles the more we live out the call of Christ's incarnational ministry.

What is All Stars for Jesus?

All Stars is a community-service based children's ministry program for kids ages 4 years through 6th grade. We meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month September through April from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

All Stars teaches children about serving others through a service-oriented curriculum and community service projects such as making cookies for local firefighters, visiting elder care centers, making fleece blankets and other projects.
