One Sunday…to change a life, a city, and a world
Pentecost…the coming of the Holy Spirit, the birth of the New Testament church, and the commissioning of Christ’s followers to boldly testify to our Lord’s resurrection and make disciples of all people.
The church today–almost 2000 years later– continues to be the hope of the world. The Reformed Church in America is part of God’s vision for reconciliation, for restoration, for salvation. We are more than 1,000 congregations living out the gospel of grace, living Pentecost, and putting love in action.
Today, as part of Our Call, the Reformed Church in America has planted more than 250 churches since 2003–congregations that proclaim and demonstrate God’s grace and are impacting lives and communities all over North America.
One Sunday is June 12, 2011…Pentecost Sunday. On that day, we will take a Pentecost Offering. This Offering provides an opportunity for you to partner in the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit by starting new RCA congregations in the United States, Canada, and around the world. We will join with more than 1,000 congregations coming together in prayer, in commitment, and with expectancy and faith in the four weeks leading up to Pentecost Sunday, One Sunday to change…a life, a city, a world.
