All Stars for Jesus Update

At our All Stars event on Oct. 16th, the kids made thank you cards for the Gilbert Fire Department. The gracious firefighters brought their big engine truck and gave a wonderful presentation to the kids. The children thanked them with special treats. Pastor Gary wrapped up the night with a Bible story on self- control.

Our next All Stars event is Sunday, November 6th @ 6:00 p.m. Our Fruit of the Spirit focus is kindness. Come join us as we decorate (tie-dye) pillowcases and stuff them with coloring books, crayons and children’s books. These pillowcases will be given to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. We need donated new or gently used children’s books, coloring books and crayons. Items can be left at the office or given to any of the “All Stars” coordinators: Janine Bingham, Lisa McCloskey or Jane Seehafer. We appreciate your support.

GO Ministry Mission

We don't just believe in Knowing Jesus and Growing in the Holy Spirit, but that Christ saved us for a purpose. "For you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which he prepared in advance for you to do." Ephesians 2:10.

So as disciples, we follow Christ outside of the church and into our neighborhood to do what He did when he was on earth. That is He healed, He freed the oppressed, He brought forgiveness and grace, and preached the good news of the God's reign on earth. The GO Ministry's goal is to bless our community in Christ's name.

Beyond our immediate community New Hope is also called to make an impact in the world at large. So every year we send people on cross-cultural mission trips, and we support three overseas missionaries. We believe that the more we reach beyond our own circles the more we live out the call of Christ's incarnational ministry.

What is All Stars for Jesus?

All Stars is a community-service based children's ministry program for kids ages 4 years through 6th grade. We meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month September through April from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

All Stars teaches children about serving others through a service-oriented curriculum and community service projects such as making cookies for local firefighters, visiting elder care centers, making fleece blankets and other projects.
