    The Holy Spirit is Doing Marvelous Things Among the CRC and RCA Churches in the Valley!

    Here is a short sampling of the great work being done among the CRC and RCA churches in the Valley:

    • Orangewood CRC —  Alberto and Sondra Correa are beginning a new Hispanic church
    • The Journey (Surprise, RCA) — A new pastor is bringing new people every Sunday
    • Christ’s Community (Glendale, RCA) — Love in Action Sunday has church people helping neighbors
    • The Garden (Scottsdale, RCA) — Their TV program brings 15 new “lookers” every Sunday
    • Longview Community (Phoenix, RCA) —Is committed to helping Phoenix CRC with Trunk or Treat; building up its English service
    • New Hope (Gilbert, RCA) — Starting a new Hispanic church, Nueva Esperanza, in East Mesa
    • Christ’s Community (Chandler, CRC) — Another church is sharing and remodeling CCC’s facility
    • Desert Haven (Mesa, RCA) — A new interim pastor is stabilizing this congregation
    • Palm Lane CRC — Invited a Hispanic church to join its Cadet program with the result that numbers have doubled
    • Phoenix CRC — Hosted a Trunk or Treat event which welcomes hundreds to the facility

     

     

    Multiplication Vision

    Jesus said that he came "to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, and to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor" and "to seek and to save what was lost" (Luke 4:18-19, 19:10).

    We believe that the best way for our community of believers to follow Jesus is to make disciples through church multiplication. Similar to other churches who are planting churches, we share in the conviction that church planting is the single "most effective evangelistic methodology known under heaven (C.P. Wagner).

    At New Hope Community Church we want to reach the 216,500 people of Gilbert, where the population has grown by 97% since 2000, and the surrounding communities of Chandler, Queen Creek, Mesa, and the other suburbs of the greater Phoenix area.

  • By training leaders
  • By planting churches that are spiritually vibrant and strategically located
  • By partnering with like minded ministries

    • Multiplication Values

  • Reaching unchurched people. We are driven by a belief that God has sen us to love and serve our community.
  • Kingdom-growth focus. The dream of becoming a larger church is less important to us than the dream to multiply the Gospel influence in our community.
  • Unity of purpose. Our whole church sees multiplication as central to our vision and purpose.
  • Leadership development. We believe in training, couching, and mentoring our leaders.
  • Selfless giving. Saff, salaries and other valuable resources are freely given in order for new churches to more effectively impact our community.
  • Immediate attention. Lack of size or staff, or poor timing are not acceptable excuses for delay. Our small size will not deter us.

  • Help cultivate an atmosphere of prayer and discernment of God's will within our congregation and within the new church plants.
  • Help clarify and communicate our vision and values.
  • Identify the harvest fields by examining future locations and examining the needs of the communities.
  • Develop action plans and gather resources.
  • Assist in mobilizing, assessing, training, developing, and coaching church planters.
  • Establish a network of church plants.
  • Find funding for a church multiplication movement.
